Bypass MDM MacBook Free

You might come across affordable MacBooks that are unfortunately locked to an organization through Mobile Device Management (MDM). Thankfully, there is a method to bypass these restrictions and use the MacBook as if it were never locked. While the fix itself is straightforward, setting it up may be challenging, as it requires a second Mac running macOS 10.15 Catalina or later. Keep in mind, however, that this process will erase all data on the MDM-locked Mac.

Step 1: Install Apple Configurator

Download Apple Configurator from the Mac App Store on the secondary Mac. This tool is essential for the bypass process, and you won’t be able to proceed without it.

Step 2: Enter DFU Mode on the Locked Mac

Fully power off the MacBook.

Connect it to the secondary Mac using a USB-C cable.

Hold Right Shift + Left Control + Left Option and the Power button for 10 seconds.

After 10 seconds, release all keys except the Power button and continue holding it for another 5-7 seconds.

The MacBook should now appear in Apple Configurator on the secondary Mac.

Step 3: Restore the MacBook

Once the locked MacBook is detected in Apple Configurator:

  1. Right-click the MacBook in the Apple Configurator window and select Restore.
  2. Follow the on-screen instructions to reset the device.

Tip: To speed up the restore process, download the appropriate IPSW file for your Mac model from ipsw.me and drag-and-drop it onto the MacBook’s entry in Apple Configurator. This skips the download step and significantly shortens the process.

Step 4: Boot to Recovery Mode

After the MacBook is restored and boots to the welcome screen:

Do not proceed with the initial setup.

Power off the MacBook.

Power it on while holding the Power button to access the boot options menu.

Select Recovery from the options.

Step 5: Access the Bypass Script

When in Recovery Mode:

Open Safari from the Recovery menu.

Visit maclife.vn/mdm for the github website or artyomguides.icu to access the bypass guide.

Copy the following command from either of the sources.

Step 6: Run the Script in Terminal

Exit Safari and go to the Utilities menu in the toolbar.

Open Terminal.

Paste the copied command into the Terminal and press Enter.

Follow the script’s instructions to create a new user account. You can set a custom username and password, but by default, the password is 1234. Press Enter to accept the defaults and speed up the process.

Step 7: Finalize the Setup

Once the script completes, reboot the MacBook.

Log in with the newly created account.

Complete the macOS setup process.

Congratulations! You have successfully bypassed the MDM restrictions and saved the MacBook for regular use.

Special thanks
